Save your plot once. Shamuta tracks your crop's stage and tells you what to do next — irrigation, fertilizer, pest checks, harvest. Ask in Hindi or English, or snap a photo of a sick plant.
No download needed. Works in your phone's browser, on any Android smartphone.
Most Indian farms are small. When a crop turns yellow, pests arrive, or it's time to fertilize or irrigate, there is rarely an expert to ask — and advice often comes late, or is not for your crop, your stage or your language.
One extension worker can be responsible for many villages. Many small farmers go a whole season without timely, personal advice — problems are found too late, or never.
Pink bollworm, fall armyworm, yellow rust, blast and wilt can take a large share of a harvest — losses that timely, correct advice could often prevent.
Too much or too little urea, DAP or spray, at the wrong stage, wastes scarce cash and can hurt the crop and the soil. The right input at the right stage matters.
Press play on the phone: a farmer saves a plot, gets this week's plan, and sends a photo of a sick crop. This is a sample conversation.
Tell Shamuta your crop, plot size, where it is and when you sowed. It takes about a minute and stays on your phone.
Shamuta works out your crop's stage and lists what to do now and what's coming — irrigation, fertilizer, pest checks — with reminders for your phone calendar.
Ask anything in Hindi or English, or photograph a sick plant. If you need an input — seed, fertilizer, spray — Shamuta names it and can connect you to a nearby dealer.

Shamuta is backed by Standard Group — a company that trades, processes and moves agricultural commodities every day. We're not guessing what farmers need; we work with what they grow.
No waiting list. Fill the short form so we know your crop and area, and you'll get instant access with a simple guide to ask your first question.

Yes. Shamuta is free for farmers — no subscription and no per-question charge. The service is supported by partnerships with input retailers and agricultural buyers, not by charging farmers.
Yes — you can ask and receive answers in simple, everyday Hindi or in English. Voice support and more Indian languages are on our roadmap.
Any Android smartphone (or any phone with a browser) with internet — even a low-cost phone on a weak connection. The app is built to use little data. WhatsApp access is coming soon.
You save a plot — crop, size, place and sowing date. Shamuta counts the days since sowing, works out your crop's stage, and lists what to do now and what is coming, such as irrigation, weeding, fertilizer, pest checks and harvest. You can add the reminders to your phone calendar. It covers wheat, rice (paddy), cotton, soybean, maize, mustard, chickpea and groundnut.
Shamuta knows what you tell it: your crop, plot size, sowing date, what grew there last season and your soil type. It uses these to tailor advice to your crop's stage. It does not yet read your Soil Health Card, soil maps, satellite images or a live weather feed — those are on our roadmap — so for exact fertilizer doses, check your Soil Health Card or ask your KVK or agriculture officer. Your saved plot stays on your phone.
Shamuta is a helper, not a replacement. It gives quick, practical guidance any time of day, and tells you honestly when it is unsure. For serious or fast-spreading problems it will advise you to contact your nearest KVK, agriculture officer or the Kisan Call Centre quickly.
Shamuta identifies the most likely problem from your photo and tells you what would confirm it. Photos can be unclear, so treat the answer as a strong first guide, and confirm with an expert before spending on expensive sprays.
Shamuta never pushes brands. When a real fix needs an input — say a fungicide or certified seed — it names the generic input and, for pesticides, only suggests products registered for your crop and tells you to follow the label. The advice always comes first, starting with low-cost methods.
Your questions, photos and details are used only to serve you better and are never sold. Your saved plots stay on your own phone. Location is only used, with your permission, to give local advice and connect you to nearby dealers.
